Register to attend on Tuesday, 28 February to hear from keynote speaker, Michael Whitehead, Director of Agribusiness Industry Insights for ANZ
Australian agriculture is arguably in the strongest globally competitive position it has ever been.
With the rapidly evolving landscape of factors including food insecurity, global trade volatility, evolving sustainability practices and regulations, the decade of the 2020s will be the period when Australian agri will need to capitalise on its' strengths to make the most the industry’s global opportunities, and solidify its' future growth.
In 2012, ANZ published “Greener Pastures: The Global Soft Commodity Opportunity for Australia and New Zealand”. This report analysed the uptake in demand for agricultural products over the decades ahead, and the share of this which could be filled by Australian exports, as well as the capital which would be required to achieve this.
A decade on, ANZ’s new report, “Greener Pastures 2”, seeks to provide a reflection on the predictions made in GP1 for Australian agri through the 2010s, highlighting what can be learned, which could in turn boost fortunes and prosperity for the industry heading forward.
