Last month GIWA members had the opportunity to engage with Su McCluskey, the federal government’s Special Representative for Australian Agriculture, during her visit to Perth.
Ms McCluskey discussed her role working domestically and internationally with governments, corporates and NGO’s to facilitate and maintain market access for Australian agricultural exports against a background of climate change and ESG demands, geopolitical disruptions, tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade, and the political direction and policy settings of our key trading partners.
This was followed by enthusiastic discussion between Ms McCluskey and GIWA members on matters of particular significance to the WA grain industry which Ms McCluskey could advocate for during her travels.
Thanks to all members who attended.
