The purpose of the GIWA Oilseeds Council is to:
- Represent the Western Australian oilseeds industry in the area of agronomic development, production, handling, processing and marketing of oilseeds in order to promote and safeguard the industry’s long term interests
- Carry out, promote or assist “industry good” activities of any kind associated with the agronomic development, production, handling, processing and marketing of oilseeds and its derivatives
- Encourage sustainable production and marketing of quality oilseeds
